Profit margin formula — Belgium edition
In Belgium, the standard TVA rate is 21%. If you sell at a VAT-inclusive price, your net revenue is the selling price divided by 1.21. Subtract your purchase price and shipping costs to get your profit per unit in EUR. Gross margin divides that profit by net revenue; markup divides it by total cost.
