Profit margin formula — Germany edition
In Germany, the standard MwSt rate is 19%. If you sell at a VAT-inclusive price, your net revenue is the selling price divided by 1.19. Subtract your purchase price and shipping costs to get your profit per unit in EUR. Gross margin divides that profit by net revenue; markup divides it by total cost.
