4 rules for clean thermal labels

Match the grid to your sheet
Two labels side by side → 2 columns, 1 row. A 2×2 sheet → 2 columns, 2 rows. Get this right first.

Print at 100% scale
In the print dialog set scale to 100% (not “fit”), margins to none, and disable headers/footers so the label fills the roll.

Tune detection if needed
If a blank half-page is kept, raise the empty-cell threshold. If crops clip content, lower the dark threshold or disable auto-crop.

Keep the source at good quality
The tool renders at ~300 DPI. A crisp source PDF gives crisp thermal output; heavily compressed scans may look soft.

What does the PDF label splitter do?⌄
Carriers often send shipping slips (bordereaux) as a big sheet with several labels per page — 2 side by side, or a 2×2 grid. Thermal / roll printers want one label per page at a fixed size. This tool splits the sheet into a chosen grid, crops each label to its printed content, and rebuilds a PDF with one label per page at the size you pick (e.g. 100 × 150 mm).
How many labels per page can it handle?⌄
Any grid. Set the number of columns and rows to match your sheet — 2×1 (two side by side), 2×2 (four per page), 1×2, etc. The tool detects and skips empty cells automatically, so the last page with a single label still works.
Which output sizes are supported?⌄
Common thermal roll sizes (100 × 150 mm landscape or portrait, 100 × 100 mm) and standard paper (A6, A5, A4). Each label is centered and scaled to fit with an adjustable margin.
Is my PDF uploaded anywhere?⌄
No. The PDF is rendered, analyzed and re-assembled entirely in your browser using JavaScript. Your shipping data — names, addresses, tracking numbers — never leaves your device.

First check the columns/rows match your sheet layout. If blank labels are being kept or real ones skipped, adjust the “empty-cell threshold” in Advanced. If cropping is too tight or too loose, tune the dark threshold, or turn off auto-crop to keep the full grid cell.
